Oh wow! I wasn't expecting this to drop until November! I'm looking forward to this "Night Mode" that appears in the changelog; it sounds like something I'd constantly enable and disable for added fun and whimsy! (I like flipping switches...don't judge me.) Other than that (rather unexpected) addition, I also look forward to the following: - Added bubbles sound effect to Rainbow Ball (with custom volume slider) This way, I can mute everything else, but still catch the balls when I'm running this in the background. - Click Pistol Weapon Augment: Spawn Gold when shooting Weapon & TimeCubes I wasn't expecting this, but welcome it nonetheless. Especially when you consider that the Click Pistol is rather barren augment-wise when compared to the Launcher - Replaced Rocket Explosion I can see what lurks beneath! - 'Overpowered' makes waves spawn faster & fireworks shorter Another completely unexpected addition that sounds very helpful. - Changed Flak Cannon color from yellow to orange Not even I know why I find this one exciting... And, of course: - Added drop shadow on Crosshairs If I can't find it after this, you have express permission to smite me with a miniature, marble bust of Socrates (don't ask...).
Cool! I've got two questions: what is "buy mode" and what, exactly, H hotkey does? Opens Augments screen?
Buy Mode is the x1, xU, xP & Max button that's in the lower left corner of the screen. The hotkey 'H' will buy the Upgrades levels for your Click Pistol.
So awesome, patch seems great! One question, what is the new weapon idle mode? - New Hotkeys: --- QWE = Weapon Idle modes
Who needs new click weapons, hotkeys and rebalanced costs when we finally get this: "- Ability Progress Timers were causing lag [performance]" I think this will become my personal highlight for the patch! \o/ Yay! No more damage loss because of low fps! Nah, but seriously, the full patchlog sounds so freaking awesome! Can't wait for tuesday to arrive! Can you share some details for the augment cost balancing? I think you talked about making them more expensive. Do we keep the current augment levels although it would cost more to reach the same level after the patch or do we get set back to a level according to our weapon cubes spent?
Wow, a good number of new things incoming. I was seriously looking forward to the Click Cannon, but now this Overpowered gimmick will help speed up runs even more. And I was curious as to why the Idle Mode aim speed said while Auto-Fire was active, yet it was going fast outside it. Now I see why it was. And I will certainly need Night Mode for sure, because what a week to take a vacation from work on. No lights, no problem. I only hope that for anything that gets raised in Cube costs doesn't skyrocket up to insane prices that would take weeks to reach.
Thank you for the update! I've been checking in daily hoping to get this information, and it all looks better than I'd expected!
Right now you need to click the little cross-hair icons beside each of the Click weapons to turn on/off Idle Mode (auto-targeting). With the new update you'll be able to do this using the hotkeys 'Q' (Click Launcher), 'W' (Click Cannon) & 'E' (Click Pistol). There's now also 3 options: Idle Mode On, Idle Mode Off, Weapon Off. We've scaled the price of the Augments to give them a bit more progression. Click Launcher is early Weapon Cube game since it costs about 100K to max each Augment. Click Pistol & Weapon Cube Augments are mid-game and cost 1 - 2 M to max an Augment. Lastly, Click Cannon is considered late game and will cost around 3M to max each Augment. If the price of a purchased Augment is now lower than it was, we will automatically credit you the difference. For example used to cost 20 , now costs 10, those extra 10 will automatically appear in your unspent Weapon Cubes area. If the overall cost of Augments is more than the total of Weapon Cubes you have, then we'll lower the level of the highest priced augments till we get it equal the total number of you have. So let's say you have 100K but the cost for all the levels of Augments you had was 110K , and say you had bought level 3 of the Click Launcher Rockets which costs 10,000. We'd bump you down to level 2 bringing the total cost of Augments down to 100K (the number of you have). Some of the prices for Artifacts & Augments can still get high (into the millions) however the total cost is way more realistic than it was before.
Sorry I'm a little confused on how the gold is calculated for the rainbow balls in the next update. How does it decide how much gold you get from rainbow balls? Also in what way are weapon augment costs balanced what ones are affected and do they cost more or less? Really excited seems great guys
It takes your top GPM (rolling, per second) during this run/warp and multiply it by 5. Coefficient can be upgraded with cubes. The only corner case where the change will bite you, is when you can not kill even a single block, and you have restarted a game so it doesn't remember you had some GPM some time before. In this situation you should have time warped long ago anyway. If devs are fair in their math, that would mean gold increasing talents would apply twice: first before calculating GPM second to increase result of gold from rainbow ball This certainly sounds pretty cool and overpowered. Sidenote: when calculating GPM, top5 of GPS are removed. If devs now divide it by 55 instead of 60, it should give same results except for non-existent corner cases. If they still divide it by 60, it means we are getting 9% less gold from Rainbow Balls than was annonced (source)
@Dimps gave a good answer for how the Rainbow Ball is calculated. Now for the Weapon Cube Augments. We've also doubled the amount of Weapon Cube Chance & Find upgrades so they now increase by 0.5 per level instead of 1.
